Pranayama is a wonderful method for reducing anxiety. Pranayama comes from two Sanskrit words, Prana, which means “universal energy” and Yama, which means “restraint”.

In fact, pranayama is the maintenance of the universal energy through the breath. You have the option in your will to ensure that you maintain the energy is positive, with the help of pranayama and a positive mental attitude.

There are many methods for the cultivation of Prana to choose, but let’s start with a deep natural breath. This is the “breath of the children.” If you look at a baby in the manger, notice how the stomach is rising, as he or she inhales. Then note that the navel, the spine on an exhale.

This is perfectly normal to breathe, but that can often feel unnatural for adults who are unconsciously practiced half a breath from the diaphragm to the nose or mouth. Half of breath, it is not possible for the entire extension at the bottom of the lungs.

In fact, half of breathing method would not be good for the yoga students who have high blood pressure. Natural breathing has wonderful benefits in blood pressure, but could not as a cure. Why not?

Most people who learn the natural breathing technique, is not able to awaken this method Pranayama as a regular daily habit, let alone practice it all day and every day – especially if the yoga student in question has a life full of stress.

So how often should someone practice natural breathing to reduce anxiety? To achieve peace, natural breathing should be practiced every day, at least eight times per day for 3-5-minute sessions. This should enable optimum results within a week, but it must become a habit.

Another way to cultivate positive energy in order to, “Why me,” Think how many times have you ever seen someone say – “Why me?”

Let’s take a look at “Why me”, and a positive “spin” on it. Why are we so happy? Why we have Internet access? Why do we live in an age so full of possibilities?

Some of the most optimistic people can meet, are chair yoga students. Some of these yoga students have ailments, diseases, and health conditions such as: Cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, high blood pressure, Parkinson’s, Frederick’s ataxia syndromes, and a variety of heart problems.

In order to prevent any form of the practice of yoga, with grace, and the best of your abilities, is a monumental task. When I hear, who can walk or simply stand on two legs, the statements such as “Life is not fair” and “I do not have enough time to ensure that my health – it reminds me of Russell Conwell book “Acres of Diamonds.”

In a few words, most people do not see how they really are happy. Life’s treasures right under our nose. Those who face major obstacles in life are the greatest mentors, leaders, teachers, and one of us will ever have.
